WHERE:

n= number of samples
m= threshold value for number of bacteria; the result shall be satisfactory if the number of bacteria in all unit samples does not exceed m number
M= maximum number of bacteria; the result shall be unsatisfactory if the number of bacteria in one or more unit samples equals or exceeds M
C= number of unit samples in which the number of bacteria may be a value between m and M; the result is still satisfactory if the number of bacteria in remaining unit samples is equal to or less than m
